Raimondo Chiodi

Raimondo Chiodi spent 20 years working and throughout Asia as the Hong Kong-based Managing Director responsible for the sales and marketing activities of a major Italian engineering company that focused on the steel industry, oil refineries and desalination plants. During that time, he witnessed firsthand the destructive effects of industrialisation on the environment in Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan and other Asian countries. Born in Libya and raised in Italy, he also worked for five years in the US oil industry from Alaska to the Gulf of Mexico. Now 47, Raimondo has become firmly convinced that voluntary action, combined with government regulation, is the key to solving the challenges of global warming. He has therefore decided to work alongside Bradley Gardner in The GreenAsia Group, and to use his marketing skills and knowledge to give something back to the region’s environment by encouraging corporations and individuals in Asia to work towards a better and greener future addressing the treat of Climate Change and voluntarily implementing solutions to mitigate their polluting impact.
