Dr. Deepak Waikar obtained B.Engg., M..Tech. from India, M.Sc. from Canada and Ph.D. from Singapore. He has professional experience of over 20 years in education, training, research and management in power and energy sector in various capacities, and has authored/co-authored several research and policy papers on power, energy and curriculum matters. Presently, he is a faculty member at SP, Singapore. Previously, he has worked as Assistant Director of National Power Engineers' Training Institute, Nagpur, India, and has served on various committees in professional bodies such as Chairman of Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Inc., U.S.A., Power Engineering Chapter (Singapore Dr Waikar was also the organizing Chair for International Energy Conference – Energex- organized by Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) in Collaboration with International Energy Foundation (IEF), Canada. He is a senior member of IEEE, Member of Institution of Engineers, India, and International Energy Foundation. He is also Executive Member of Steering Committee of Energy Sustainability Unit, Singapore and Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Committees of SEAS.

Shanthan has degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and represented Singapore in the 2007 Asia – Pacific Young Leaders Climate Forum, mentored by Sir Nicholas Stern.

Khun Nuttachat is the Executive Vice President the Natural Gas Vehicle unit of PTT, a energy and utility company in Thailand. He graduated with a Bachelors in Engineering from Chiengmai University, and a MBA from the Thammasat University of Thailand. Mr Nuttachat has deep experience and technical expertise in the fields of engineering, offshore exploration and natural gas operation. Prior to assuming his current position, he was also the EVP for Oil terminal operations and Supply and Logistics in PTT. Mr Nuttachat is married with 2 children, and has given presentations and speeches at many previous events in Asia.

Mr. Christophe Inglin is Managing Director of Phoenix Solar Pte Ltd, which designs and installs solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems. From December 1996 until June 2006 he was Managing Director of Shell Solar Pte Ltd (formerly Siemens Showa Solar). Christophe also chairs the Clean Energy Committee at the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS). He is the invited trainer for PV technology courses held regularly at Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Building & Construction Authority (BCA). Before moving to Singapore, Christophe worked for Siemens Semiconductors and Siemens Management Consulting in Munich, California and Zurich. Christophe is a Singapore Permanent Resident, with Swiss and British nationalities. He has a BSc in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from INSEAD.

Laina Raveendran Greene, is currently Lead Consultant and CEO of GetIT, Inc, a strategic marketing and business planning consulting company based in Silicon Valley. She started her career in telecoms in 1986 at the International Telecommunications Union in Geneva, later at INTELSAT, and Singapore Telecom (SingTel). Her consulting track record in the telecom/Internet industry, include clients such as Pacific Internet, Telemedia Italia, Gilat, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Verisign, ITU, Commercial Internet Exchange, Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), and IDRC. She also served as Secretary General of the Asia Pacific Internet Association, Policy Advisor of APNIC, Board Director of Globetel Communications Corp, member of ITU TELECOM Forum Program Committee, adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore, etc. Over the last year, her focus has been on Green ICT and the use of ICT to help reduce GHG in other industries. As an entrepreneur for the last 10 years, she started GetIT Multimedia in 1997 in Singapore, an e-learning and e-communications Company, which she recently sold to a group of private investors. Her passion for entrepreneurship motivates her to teach high tech professionals in Silicon Valley through the Stanford Program for Professional Development, to undergraduates at the Stanford Management Sciences and Engineering Department, and mentor students at the Stanford Technology Venture Program.

Michele Felder

Michele Felder joined Juniper Networks in August 2000, as the founding member of the company’s Asia Pacific marketing team. Her current duties as senior director of marketing include leading the teams responsible for all field, product, corporate and channel marketing activities in the region. Michele is also active with the Juniper Networks Foundation and the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts. Prior to Juniper, Michele held positions with 3Com, Motorola and Adaptec in a variety of product marketing, marketing communications and channel marketing roles, responsible for the Asia Pacific region. Michele has lived and worked in Asia for a total of 15 years. Michele has a B.A. from the University of Washington, in Seattle, focusing on International Studies and an M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. Michele speaks Mandarin Chinese, as well as French. She is married, with two children, and enjoys running, yoga, cooking, photography and competitive catamaran racing. She also volunteers with a community environmental group and Room to Read, a global charity building libraries and schools throughout the developing world.

John Kua

John Kua is currently deputy director of SINERGY Centre of A*STAR, responsible for the research and development activities of the Centre. Previously, he has worked on research and technology development projects in applications software, aerospace, defense systems design and automotive fields for over 20 years, first in government defence research labs and then in government-linked technology companies. For the past 12 years, he has been specializing in components and systems design of environmentally-friendly technologies in advanced electric/hybrid and fuel cell vehicle systems and alternate energy development projects in Singapore as well as in the Asia Pacific region. He has also ventured out to start his own technology startup and consultancy, including development of an advanced microprocessor-controlled, zero-emission, AC propulsion drive system used for electric vehicles – this being technological a first in Singapore. For the past 4 years, he has been engaged in technical consulting and business development in both China and the U.S. In summary, as a mechanical engineer by profession, his area of experience in engineering is broad, covering the R & D phase to engineering development for commercialization.

An Overseas Merit Scholar, Hooe Wai read Architecture in Cambridge University. He also completed an MA in Conservation Studies course in York University under the United Nations Development Plan and specialises in conservation of historic buildings. He has over 20 years of experience practicing as an architect in the public and private sectors before joining CapitaLand, His award-winning projects include a number of museums and schools in Singapore.

Agus Sari is Country Director of Indonesia for EcoSecurities. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the company. Prior to joining EcoSecurities, he was Executive Director of Pelangi, a prominent environmental think tank based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He sits on various scientific and business committees, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as Lead Author in Working Groups II (Adaptation) and III (Mitigation). He has followed the climate change issue since late 1980s, and, since 1997, has been a part of the Indonesian delegation to climate change negotiations as an advisor. For COP13/MOP3 in Bali, Indonesia, where the Indonesian Minister of Environment serves as the President, he serves as an advisor to the Presidency. He taught Environmental Science at the Indonesia Institute of Technology, and Carbon Politics at the Bren School of Environment at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He holds a graduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley as Fulbright Scholar.

Ridwan Rusli is Founder and CEO of Exergy Advisory Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based energy consulting firm and Senior Advisor to NorthStar Pacific Ltd, an Asian private equity firm. Mr Rusli serves on the boards of several energy companies in China (coal, hydrogen), India (biofuels) and Indonesia (oil & gas). He is also a Research Fellow of the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) of the Lew Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Mr Rusli was Managing Director, Head of Asia Natural Resources and Co-Head of Asia Energy at Credit Suisse Investment Banking, Singapore between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that he worked at Lehman Brothers in Singapore, UBS in Frankfurt, London, Zurich, Singapore and Lurgi AG in Frankfurt. Mr Rusli holds a Diplom Chemiker degree (eq. MSc) in Chemistry from the Technical University of Berlin, an MSc in Chemical Engineering Practice (MSCEP) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MSc in Management (eq. MBA) from MIT Sloan School of Management.
